I discovered that I had a ton of photos on my phone from all the fun stuff that I did this summer. I want to remember doing all this stuff, so here’s a giant photo dump post. This is the world’s laziest way of blogging, but whatever. It’s Friday, and I am going to be lazy.
This summer I drank a significant amount of margaritas. Not all at once., but since I discovered that I an eat Americanized Mexican food again, I have been having more margaritas.
A lot of this summer was spent working on embroidery projects, since they travel well and are easy to work on just about anywhere.
I even taught Mark how to embroider.
I’ve also worked on some quilting this summer and have tried to finish some WIP projects that I’ve had lying around the house for ages.
I spent a LOT of time outdoors this summer, mostly walking, but I did run quite a bit.
I ran the Midnight Madness and broke my 10K PR. Honestly, I just broke my PR for that course. My 10K PR is something like 48 minutes.
I also spent a lot of time trying to get my dog to walk with me. Barney is finally liking walks!
Mark, Barney, and I spent a good amount of time napping during our staycation.
Occasionally we would watch movies and intermittently nap.
I re-dyed my hair purple, and am going to do it again. I followed this tutorial (Edited: forgot the link!), and it worked perfectly. I love my hair stylist, but if I would have known I would get pretty similar results from the at-home version, I would have just done my hair at home. I did really mess up my hair the last time I did an at-home hair thing, so I guess that’s probably why I wasn’t raring to try purple at home.
Lots of stuff happening! I was actually enjoying an analog day today. The Internet was down earlier and I had started piecing a quilt. I need to clean up around here and get stuff ready for Mark to be here tonight (!!!).
Happy Friday!
